Well I'm tired of being a complete asshole and running HID's in an halogen headlight. What is everyone running for hi output halogens? I would like to match current 6K lights.

Sylvania Silverstars are the main high output halogen that comes to mind. My sister's carolla has some and they are bright as fuck

Ill have to get some pictures of mine. I don't think they look bad at all. I used the oem lights, and cleared them while I was at it.
Left the shroud chrome. Looks pretty good

HIR bulbs, 9011/9012 iirc.

This. I have a set in the lows and highs, they are very bright for halogens :imo:

LED headlights are bad. Lumen /=/ a good measure of distance.

And this.

Leds are intense, but they DO NOT throw enough light a far enough distance to be useful as headlights.

I had a set in my fogs one time and you could barely see them while driving.

This. My stepdad got a pair for his fogs as well and they look sweet, but dont throw light for shit..

HID retrofit would be the best. Jusy copy BMW and throw some blue cathode lasers in there.

LOLOL! I guarantee that spot pattern dually's in the high beams would looks better and shoot farther than an HIR… I understand maybe those drop in bulbs being shitty but not some nice dually's

I have Silvania Silverstar zXe in my Highs, and both the Highs and Lows in my Subaru and they are very bright. they are the closest to HID's I have ever seen from a regular bulb. They are aobut a 4300-5000K color.
