So I installed led bulbs in all of my front turn signals along with a resistor for each bulb. For some reason my drl aren't coming on all of the time when the auto-lights are on and I'm still getting hyperflash when they aren't on. If I switch the lights to any other mode, the drl co.e on and hyperflash goes away.

Are the drl supposed to come on all of the time?
If not, what can I do to stop the hyperflash when the drl are off.

I've checked both of the drl fuses and visually they appear to be good.

on the nnbs your DRL is the low beam. are you talking about your parking lights?.

i put switchbacks in the GFs truck, and tires up the resistors, one end went to the black wire and one went to the blue, iirc

she also doesnt have the DRL anymore sicne hids, so i just pulled the fuse for that.

I'm refering to the parking lamps. Didn't realize the headlight was the drl on nnbs.

I know I have the resistors wired correctly, but I'm not sure why I get hyperflash when the bulbs are not on already.

Maybe sure you actually tapped into the wire that power's the signal light, and not the park light. For one you'll melt the resistors eventually. They get hot with constant power.

Sent from my igloo using my SGS4 eh.

has it hooked up for resistance of the parking light, but not resistance of the blinker.

simple, hooked it up to the constant power not the secondary power that makes them blink. so when the parking lights are on, there is resistance, when they are off, there is no resistance.

so again not wired correctly.

I don't have a pic, but I know I am at least tied into the blue wire. The only one that could be wrong is the black, since there are 2 per light.

Here's the diagram I used from a thread here. Maybe I just have the ground wires crossed up.

So I double checked my wiring and all appears to be correct.

Being outside the truck, I was able to see that when I get the hyperflash, both sides are flashing.

I'll try to tonight. I got the pass. side fixed (was on wrong ground), but couldn't get the drivers side figured out. The wiring is not exactly like the diagram I was using, so I'm not 100% sure which ground is the right one. Both sides still flash at the same time as well.

Wasn't able to get a pic. Both lights are hyperflashing again and I'm at a loss. Any way it could be the bulbs causing this? They are just cheap Wal-Mart bulbs.

I believe so. Here is the link from what I ordered. They are 50w 6ohm.

Almost wandering if my wiring harness is somehow different. If I have time I'm going to mess around with them more tonight and maybe try tapping into the Brown instead. At first I thought maybe I had a poor connection, but since they are working some of the time, they have to have a good connection.
