Hello all! New to this forum, not to forums. Usually frequent TahoeYukonForum, I saw this place and was reading through, liked it. So I joined. I have an 04 tahoe all stock and a 99 4 door 2wd tahoe that Had a 4" lift w/ 3" body lift. Now has a 4/6 drop. All my build threads:

Couple different ways to tint. Tint film off ebay. Plastidip sells a smoke tint spray now. Black mixed w/ clear sprayed w/ a gun is best.
I used VHT nightshade. Taped off the reverse light. Most of it is great prep. Prep makes or breaks. I sanded the tail light with some 1000-1500 grit to knock off all the build ups, dirt and all. Clean real good with some alcohol or acetone. Sprayed 2 even coats waiting 5-10 mins between coats (can go 3+ if you want darker). Get some dupli-color or krylon clear. Make sure clean of dust then spray 3-4 even coats. Let the lights dry at least 6-13 hours to ensure they are dried enough to sand. Remove the tape carefully. Now that the lights are dry it's time to wetsand them out to remove any orange peel. I used a 2000 wet/dry sandpaper. Get a bucket of water and let the sandpaper sit so that's it fully soaked. Take your sandpaper and start sanding using light pressure. You can wipe the light off every minute or so to see how much more sanding you need to do. Always keep the sandpaper and light wet so you will not sand through the clear. You are looking for a nice dull finish to know your done wetsanding. If you see any shiny spots like these keep sand untill they are gone. Take some rubbing compound and rub it into the light. This will start to bring the shine back to the lights. Do 3-4 coats of compound. After you finish with the compound take a clear polish of your choice and put 2-4 coats on the lights to get the most shine out of them. Install, stand back and enjoy.
