Techietruckguy, first i did the test on the stock 17" wheels and i really don't care if you believe me or not, i'm just on here to share and see what every one else has done to incorporate some of it into my truck. that's how intelligent people learn. The stock 4.8l in the 2012 put out 302hp with 305lbs torque from the factory so i don't know why you can't believe a 45 HP increase and it was a mixture of all the MOD's together, learn how to tune a motor, it has to be done from air intake all the way to the tail pipes and everything in between and finding the correct mix, not just a superchips tuner.

302/305 is CRANK HP...so stock to the wheels it makes roughly 240/240 (after factoring in approx 20% driveline loss). After full bolt ons and a "tune" I'd estimate you're around 280/280 to the WHEELS and 340 CRANK.

302/305 baseline numbers are at the flywheel, practically every mfg reports their power numbers that way. same with my lml, they rate them at 397/765 but to the wheels is approximately 360/671

Still nice numbers for just bolt ons on a 4.8 :imo: with a cam/heads/custom tune you can get over 300.

hypertech has baseline dyno for L20 at 254/263.

you would see better results out of efilive or hptuners and a knowledgeable shop too. not familiar with cinci speed or whatever, but if they are pushing superchips stuff, i'd personally take my business elsewhere.

Yeah I just did a rough calc for arguments sake.

They probably pushed superchips because they make decent money on them :imo:

I did all the work and purchase decisions myself before i every took it t the dyno, all they suggested was not running the dyno on the 22's and the 17's was the only other tires i had that fit. Thanks for your suggestion, i may try a different tuner

Ah, gotcha. I'd assume that if they have a dyno, they have someone in house that knows how to tune? Maybe ask and see what software they use, how many LS-based vehicles they do, and what they suggest for more performance mods

look at that, and at the same time throw some headers on there (long tube), as well as maybe checking into maybe a cam swap, if you are looking to get a decent amount of power being n/a and without swapping heads. lots of possibilities though

Would do engine swap before cam/headers/heads tbh that's a bunch of money for not much gains compared to say a 6.0 swap imo
