hey there, I was wondering if ya'll could lend a helping hand...

I have a Silverado (03) that I have HCI yaddayadda etc.
and Im going to put a cutout on it, but I thought I would be sneaky
and get one of the newer body style shift selectors, the one with the
up and down shift buttons on it and use those buttons to open and
close the cutout.

I have determined on the selector that the 2 black wires control the
"+/-" on the grip

I have a multimeter and with it set on 200k ohms,I get a signal

starts out solid at 6.8
when I press the (+) on the selector, it goes down to 1.8
and when I press the (-) on the selector it goes down to 3.9

I am not the most electronically inclined so my question now is, will that switch work alright
in order to open close the cutout?

any advice/help would be greatly appreciated!:high5::popcorn:

I believe there have been a few who have wired them up to open and close valves for helper bags and one person might have done a cutout so I think it is possible but that's about all the help I can give you. Maybe someone else will chime in lol

Preciate the input ya'll

Also, would it be a good idea to wire in a fuse to protect that switch?
just in case, right?

Anyone know what amp fuse I should wire in there?
