Any plans on doing a HD hood/grille?
hd grille is a for sure no. there's already a large amount of people that do the HD clip swap or 03+ clip. the hood is a possibility but i think he is wanting to keep it this original clip, just colormatched. when you stand next to this thing with the factory hood it looks that much lower.

So I wanted to dive right in on what almost no one shows you and scares everyone away from doing Tahoe's. The door latch. Theres a bunch of different ways to do this but I wanted the latch to stay as close to center on the door vertically as possible.

I'm assuming you had to tub the door as well, does it limit the window glass any?
Yes, I've posted pics of the door tub and the rear glass travel is more limited than stock. Three ways to prevent the stock glass from being limited is smaller wheels, no bodydrop, or way over narrowed track width. All of which are not real options.

The only real option would be go to an envoy style rear door glass.

Been working on yard work and getting the shop finished up. Finally got back on the tahoe this weekend. Got the brake pedal assembly moved over, firewall tubs welded in, the new rear link bars and axle brackets.

Was out of town working so haven't spent much time on the tahoe but I did spend some time yesterday getting the blower mount modified.

Did things a little differently than I have in the past. I believe this will be a quieter alternative to the metal boxes that usually get used.
The screws currently are just for holding everything together while the glue dries. I plan to remove them and seal the holes before final installation,

Yeah, I got away from forums because IG was easier but IG has just went downhill for me. I know there are a fair share of tahoes/yukons/suburbans getting bagged but the people who build them aren't active or willing to share info. So I figured id document this build on here. Bring some light back to the glory days of the forums when full builds were everywhere.

Good shit Tukn miss the days forums were rollin with post ideas, builds were great days and helpful days.

Unfortunately I havent had much time to work on it lately. Was dealing with trying to get my daily back running before the cold weather hits and then left for vacation. I will be back working on it now that everything is done and I'm back home.

Been spending some time working on the tahoe again now that I've taken a new position at work that keeps me from being on call as much.

Starting getting the rear tubs tacked up and did a little rework on the rack location. Installed a fbody oil pan and pick up tube on the engine so that the engine mounts and trans x member could be set.

The shorty headers that we picked couldn't have been more perfect. These headers were picked specifically for fitment.

Made some slight adjustments to where the bumper was placed and welded on the mounts. You can see the last pic for factory bumper gap
