I know a lot of us NBS guys have had the paint on the dash peel off. or start to peel, and i know a lot of guys pressure wash it off.

What are you guys using to paint it again. I would really like to find something to paint mine to look like the OEM charcoal again.

While we are on the subject, is there a paint that matches the darker greyish/black that goes around say the HVAC/radio/headlightswitch etc?

Im tired of looking at my dash peeled up.

Thanks.

Another vote for SEM. Whatever you do, don't use any chemicals to strip the peeling layer off!

SEM products. I believe the code is 17223
Correct. This is what I used to dye my console to factory charcoal

Really not that big of a deal to pull the dash pad out. I pressure washed mine and left it black lol one day I'll paint it to match again. Good to know there is a spray bomb that actually looks close

Mine is peeling as well. I thought about pressure washing it, but DNW an all black dash with tan interior. If I had pewter or dark charcoal seats, it would be a different story.

So can you just feather this stuff in where it's peeled at? Remove loose paint and prep area? I remember reading somewhere that you didn't need to use primer with this stuff. Is that right?

Right, for my console I just cleaned the parts real well with soap/water and IPA solution. Then sprayed 3 or 4 light layers of dye.

They have sem matte clear coat for it. If I was to do it again I'd get the clear, since the console is in high traffic area and easily rubbed/scuffed, exposing the light tan underneath.

Let us know how it turns out. I have been putting this off and I need to get it done. If yours turns out good, might encourage me to get 'er done.

Did you repaint that rubbery shit on the Denali bezels? I have some Denali parts, but all the silver/grey rubberized areas are peeling like a mofo. I'm actually thinking about using some grey plasti-dip. Fuck I dunno, that shit is all still piled in my storage closet. Lol!
