Just wondering..
My truck seems to get shitty gas mileage.
It has less than 60k on it.
This week going to atl on the interstate @ 75 it averaged 14.6

I can't change fuel filter bc its in tank

It seems it should get better than that.
Its basically stock cc Z71 5.3 and 3.73 gears. 285 firestone at's and a ranchhand.

Wtf gives??

I get 18-19 on a good day on the highway, and 15.8-16.4 in the city. If I old man it, I can probably do better.

Longtubes, no cats, hooker aerochamber, 3.73's, 5.3L, airriad jr, BBP, and exhaust leaks! I also run premium

I do old man this one to try and squeeze every mile I can..

Is it just possibly that horribly tuned from the factory??

I dont remember mine getting that bad of gas before my mods.

Unplug the battery and see if the comp resets. I know mine was showing 14.6 after my mods and I couldn't figure out why...after we attempted my DD install and the truck had been without a battery, we drove to shreveport where I got 19.3

hmmm, that sucks! maybe get a better free flowing and exhaust, I saw a small increase of about 1-2mpg with my first tune!

Are you figuring it out with the 285s or just by trip? I got 16.5-17.2 at 75-80 in my 04 CC 1/2 ton stock with 4.10s other than CBE and K&N drop in. When I was rocking 285s i got 14.4, normal is 14.5 mixed.

I get 10.5-14 city and 14-17 hwy.

2005, 5.3, Z71, 3.42s, 295 trails, K&N drop in, exhaust, factory tune right now
