Well, I was on my way to school this morning with my girlfriend and her little brother. My friend was in his truck in front of me, and we came around a curve and hit black ice. Everything went into slow motion, and his truck started twisting everywhere. He spun around and smacked into a rock cliff, then it twisted his truck around even more and it landed on the driver's side. After he wrecked and was stopped, it sped back up and I had to make a tough decision. There was an s10 on the other side of the road, and his truck was laying right in the middle of our lane. I was about 20 feet from him now, but I didn't want to slam on my brakes, so I just got over as far as I could and tried to miss them, but I ended up smashing into the hood of his truck. I wasn't going too fast. I was going about 40 mph, and so was my friend in front of me. My truck completely shut off, for obvious reasons, but I lost everything. I lost steering and brakes. I find it to be very dangerous, because if I would have been pointed towards the creek, I would be in it. But, thank god that I wasn't. My truck rolled to a stop and I jumped out, made sure both my girlfriend and her brother were okay, and I ran back to my friends. Once we figured out everyone was okay, we waited for the police to arrive, and I spent the day at my girlfriends while I waited on my mom. Now, I'm here. I only have two pictures of my truck, because honestly it makes me sick. The front end is the only thing damaged. I think it can be repaired and not deemed totaled, but everyone has their opinions, so what is yours?

In before 'it should buff out'

Damn that is a hell of a beating to those trucks. Red one looks like damage is above frame but hard to tell. Your insurance agent will be the one to decide, so anything we guess is rather irrelevant. Good luck.

Hood scoop was first thing that caught my eye... bish was like "Get me off this hood".

Glad to hear everyone was OK man. As much as I'm sure it hurts, metal can be replaced, lives cannot.

A square offset hit like that at 40 your frame is fucked but your buddies truck is total fubar and I cant believe they were totally fine. Glad to hear it wasnt worse.

I'm more than thankful that everyone was okay. His truck flew into the cliff behind it in the pic, up into the air, landed on the back end of it, and rolled over onto his side. he climbed out of the smashed back window. Mine, on the other hand, had a really hard hit. Both airbags came out, and spiderwebbed the windshield.
He actually had no clue I had even hit him until I ran back to get him, and I told him.
I hate that it happened, but it can be replaced.

Trying to get a good guess on whether its totaled or not. If so I just might go cut off my exhaust and definitely get the wheel spacers. Too expensive to leave behind that easily.

Edit: Does it sound right to anyone that we both got tickets for failure to maintain control of out vehicles?

Idk if I want it to buff out, lol.
Can't afford another one, so hopefully it's not totaled. But, if it's not, that means trade in after its fixed, so hopefully I can get this all straightened out pretty fast. Gaduation is coming up in 60 days, and dnw to be left without a vehicle for a job through the summer.

More than likely, I'd say yours is totaled as well. Both bags blew and it spider'd your windshield, that means the cab got tweaked so the frame definitely took a good shot up front. Glad to hear you guys are ok tho, that's a crazy wreck

Well, that's rough to hear, but whats done is done. Idk what to want tbh. It's just been a rough day, and I'm gonna let this go wherever it may.

Really? Tickets...that's fucked! Oh yes...let me maintain control of my truck in ice...hello officer, my name is Ken Block, his is Jim Kana.
