What is everyone using to make it back to black. Mine is kinda faded looking since its an 06 which has spent the majority of its life outside.

On all black plastics, wash with an All Purpose Cleaner to remove all build up. I use either Adam's SVRT in a 1:1 mixture with water, or their In & Out Spray. Both I buff down with a cheap microfiber towel to prevent streaking or running.

What he said...clean well with all purpose then put on SVRT or in and out. Both work great.

I've tried really cleaning it but I think it needs to be re-colored. I've used duplicolor trim paint in the past but was curious what everyone else is using

I think I used krylon fusion semi gloss on mine and I've had it painted for almost a year and it still looks good..washed it real good with dish detergent and scrubbed with a scotch rite, dried thoroughly, and painted 4 or 5 coats

Duplicolor trim paint in the green can is what I used on my grille and lower valance its perfect IMO matches all the other trim if its fresh and not faded

Take some pictures. Worth trying some SVRT, seen it bring some pretty faded stuff back to life.

My bumper plastics are so faded that they look grey, but the VRT gets them looking brand new.
Here's a pic of my bumper cap 1/2 treated, so you can see the difference.

I will give SVRT a shot but I'm debating on color matching so that might happen.

if its actually faded, all the dressing is going to do is cover it for a while. buy some trim restorer or a dye. ive used a spray dye numerous times on customer vehicles when i was detailing, best "long" term solution

You are correct. The SVRT dressing is only temporary, but it lasts about a month. If I wash my truck at least once a month and dress all the plastics, then it stays looking new (most of the time).

lol my buddy kept putting dressing on his bumper but white was still coming through by the next day. fgt left wax on there....
