As many of you know I have been collecting parts to lift my truck....so far it has a 2" body lift ford keys barely cranked and aals out back.

So I finally started on this last night, cleared out a bay in the garage and pulled the truck in and started dissasembly last night. I got about as far as not unloading the tbars and a stuck rotor would get you....haha....here's a pic of her in all her glory...

Fenders were at 42 with the 33's and almost no crank all the way around...it should be right around 48"-49" when I'm done...its a 6" rcx...BTW...

So far I have the calipers tie-wired up and out of the way, axle nuts off, shocks out, rotor off the drivers side off, the passenger is seized on there so my roomate is bringing a hydraulic press home from work to wedge between the stock knuckle and rotor to try and pop it off, sway bar end links cut off. Tonight my goal is to pick up new front rotors and unload the t-bars and try to get that rotor off before I head out to dinner with the misses. (any other ideas on getting this thing off?) I might try and get some paint on my shit too (going engine enamel on the front suspension) Tomorrow night I hope to have it fully disassembled and the diff out and get it prepped with new axle seals and fresh fluid and do all my grinding on it. Friday night I will start reassembly and Jared should be bringing me his factory GK bars so that saturday I can finish it up. I can only do the front in the garage or it won't fit coming out haha. So i will pull her out and do the rear blocks in the driveway which should be pretty straight forward considering I did my aals by myself in 4 hours.

Anyway I will get more pics tonight and maybe some video....

Oo yes also, I am doing my exhaust over, doing a y-pipe off the factory 2" duals into a 3.5" bullet, into a 5" MBRP tailpipe with a 6" tip...should sound....well loud haha...I'll start that too at some point....SO MUCH TO DO....i just want to leave work and start working on it again...

you have no idea, just seeing the front end sitting at 46" on jack stands and knowing its going to be 3" taller is giving me all the motivation I need to have this thing driving by sunday haha, well that and beer

Any ideas for getting that rotor off if the wedge doesn't work? I mean I beat the bag out of it...not even budging...

Front or rear? If it's the front, bigger hammer. If it's the rear maybe the ebrake shoes are still holding it on.

**edit**

Just saw it's the front, maybe spray penetrating oil on it. Salt up there migh have it siezed to the hub?

yeah its the front....i'm using a 15 lbs sledge....i have chucks missing from the rotors. The only spot i can hit it from the back side of the rotor is towards the rear of the truck because of the dust shield and every hit the wheels turn. Maybe if I hit the outside of the rotor on the top and bottom?

Put two wheel nuts on the studs, one across from the other and smack the shit out of it from the front side. Nut are so when it does come off we don't see you post a thread about the brake rotor implanted in your face.

sooo jealous, can't wait to see it done. may make me pull the trigger and take this BL off if you don't run into any issues!

edit: pics of wheels and tires you have now

well i went to vatozone last night, got two new rotors and a ball joint press, ooo and another 30 rack...got home and my buddy wasn't home from work yet with the wedge so I had to meet the misses for dinner, didn't get anything done...he said he messed with it last night and the wedge wouldn't do it....what...but tonight should be productive as i want to have the diff on the ground tonight...

I'll try the lug nut and beating said rotor from the outside, I have been spraying the shit out of it with PB...we will see...can I heat it with some mapp at the hub? will I melt the bearings? what do you guys think...i'll take lots of progress pics tonight...

here are some pics of my rims and tires now, they are 20x10 gear alloys and 33x12.5 toyos. I like them they look so much better in person...but i'm seriously considering 20x10 preds

keep the body lift....I'll get you better pics of the wheels tonight and post them tomorrow.

may i suggest not using the GK bars unless your current bars are sagging. I put 3/4ton bars in my truck and actually lost height over my stock 1/2 ton bars
