Cant wait to see this done. Also I know you have said you use that Canada only undercoat stuff(can't remember the name but want to say it's stone something) on the frames but what do you use for a coating on suspension stuff and axles?

I remember from his other threads in the past about that "Stone Shield" undercoat stuff. It was from a company called Rust Check.

I used the duplicolor stuff on my SFA truck and it held up awesome. I even sprayed it over the chrome bumpers with a light scuff and it held up to be pressure washed.

WEll well I suppose an update wouldnt hurt. I rarely forum now, just doesnt seem to be much to learn with my old tymer age.

Mechanically the sonoma is 100% buttoned up. Exhaust is done and tucked up, and was just waiting on the fab work. Thorne Customs is doing all the metal work for me, as thats outta my league.

Not laid out, but tires jammed agaisnt the firewall

Custom inner fenders and blower box. Alot of guys just delete everything, no fenders, and hack it up. But Im going for a stock like finish. Retaining heat, AC, Blower Motor, Cruise, and all fluid jugs.

Battery tucked under the rad support and kept in OEM location. Modified the Tray so its part of the fender now.

"Inner fenders" Alot of bagged trucks you look in thge fender well and you can see the cab and fender seams etc, we made these panels to cover up the nasty. Holes need to be drilled then bolted back into OEM spot

Blower Box Glassed up. Blower motor sits probably 1/5" away from the hood, barely fits. Chasing that OEM vibe

For the bed I bounced around a few ideas on stock floor raised or tub and cover. Ended up going tub and cover to retain the deep bedfloor. When bed floor is raised it shrinks the height of the bed so much that it creates some issues. Using the Factory tubs, just widen and raise. The bed is going for body work soon and will be complete repainted inside for that OEM vibe

I think I will always love this body style because I thought the syclones and typhoons were the coolest fucking thing when I was kid. I love the color also I had 95 s10 with a 4/6 drop in college that was the same color.

And the Brandon modification madness continues. When looking at the details in this build I am reminded of the old saying "I you do something right, people won't be able to tell you have done it"

I love seeing builds like this with attention to keeping all the factory functions intact. Makes the vehicle more fun when it is finished I think.
