Before we get in to deep, I just want yall to know that my truck is a show truck not a race truck.. With that being said I'm just looking to get an aftermarket intake that is appealing to the eye, and also maybe have some gain in hp/tq.
Mods to engine are IN SIG..
I'm also looking in to the edelbrock pro flo intake..

@cammedvmax lol.

I love the look of those holley intakes. The edelbrocks look sweet too though.

Yea same here the Holley intakes come with the fuel rails while the edelbrock you have to buy separate. I'm just not sure if the intake will be over kill for the amount of hp/tq I'm at right now which is about 350 rwhp

You may actually end up losing power with those hi-rise intakes on a 5.3, maybe just look into a polished ls1 style intake instead?

Something like this?

I show my truck. It doesn't hit the track or race anyone on the street I'm just not in racing lol. I have too much money in the suspension and body to take the risk of wrecking it. I do t plan on keeping the btr stg 2 cam. I plan on going stage 4 with a stall gears and some other work and I don't want to have to buy another intake. If the Holley or edelbrock will work then I plan on running one of them

Edelbrock has the rails seperate but when you buy them too it comes out to the same price as the Holley. I spent probably 6-8 hours smoothing the top of mine. You can have a machinist smooth it in a few min though.
I personally like the looks of the edelbrock but only when smoothed. They flow almost exactly the same. You will lose power down low on a 5.3 unless you have boost with any of them but if it's for looks then go for it.

I'm in kind of the same boat. Didn't build the truck to race, just look cool and have fun on the streets. That being said, here's a shot of mine. Kind of dark, but you get the picture.
