Truck is a 09 gmc crew cab hybrid with a 6.0. Had the oil changed at the local dealership about a month ago. I noticed yesterday at 55mph my oil pressure was running at 60psi. Let off and coast an it would drop to 50. Hammer down an shoot back up to 60. Never would go higher. Any ideas?

New Roads La.
oil pressure differs from truck to truck.
mine idles with 40 and cruises at 50.

High oil pressure isnt always a good think it could mean a blockage somewhere.
Was this pressure at engine operating temp? or still cold?
Im assuming the dealship used the proper grade oil.

Ok. I figured normal would be 40 since its in the middle. Lol. All of my obs even my nbs idled at 40 an ran about 50-55. Rather ask questions now just incase I can catch a problem before it gets bad lol. Thanks for the input guys

Now that I've noticed it my eyes are glued to it lol. I'm normally watching my temp guage out of habit. I'm just making sure it was normal to be like that. Would rather fix now to prevent a major issue lol. But from the sounds of it I'm good
