Help NNBS Steering Wheel Trim

So, as some may of seen in my build thread thing, if you could call it that, I've been working on painting interior plastics. I have all of them done except the pieces on the steering wheel. I've watched videos and googled and it makes it look so easy, but no matter how hard or how many times i push an allen wrench in the holes on the side, the damn thing won't pop up or out or anything. I'm honestly ready to pry the things off and buy new ones to paint.
Can anyone help by instructing or giving tips on removing these pieces? Thanks.

Lol...you're either using to big or too small of an allen wrench...You want one that about fills up the hole...

Press in one side at a time while pulling on the airbag gently....Wiggle it around while pushing...gotta kind of put some pressure so it pushes on the bar and snaps it out...

One side at a time , once you find the sweet spot you're golden...I've done it like 3 times, first time was a bitch..
