If I still had two 480s could I still do this just so the compressors aren't running as often?

you can but I don't think you'll be happy with the setup that way. on a fully bagged vehicle you want the tank to always have air in it, that way if you need air while driving, it's there.

if you allow the tank to become refilled with the dumps routed back the tank, then that air will have nowhere to go when you try to drop and the truck will do one of the following 3 things or a combination of them
1. blow a line or create a leak
2. fill the tank with too much psi and not be able to work the lift valves
3. the truck will not drop fully

like i said, this is good for helper/tows.

But wouldn't the tank and bags hit equilibrium? I don't see how that would work. Let's just say you air the tank to 100 psi then air the bags to 50, when you dump the bags, wouldn't the bags and tank both be at 50 and then hit equilibrium?

If I understand this right, if your bags and tank are at 50, the compressor kicks on and fills the tank to 100 and now the 50 in the bags would have nowhere Togo. If that makes sense

Like I said guys, this is not for bagged trucks. It's for helper/tow bag setups

What text you send me? I didn't see it

my bad guys, I just seen where I said a 150 psi pressure switch. I meant to say 50psi.

yes Bohall, the equilibrium comes into play. 35psi in a 3 gallon tank and 15psi in 2 bags, so when the air pressure in bags dropped i could bump it up to 15.

this is how I did mine. all in retrospect now, the return line didn't really do anything except when my tank was empty, for instance when i towed. added the extra 10psi to even the truck out thenloaded it and let the air out before unloading while the weight was still in the truck.

So since a lot has been covered so far in this thread, let's talk brands. Which ones y'all love, which ones y'all hate. For valves, fittings, etc.

I love all my ride tech stuff. And im a loyal dominator bag guy. As far as cheaper single valves go, I've never had a single problem with Asco valves

I bought all my fittings from McMaster and XRP haven't had a problem, as far as valves go as long as they're not like 5.99 I think quality is about the same, Brett probably knows more on that though

Damn phone. Asco. Unless im just on a super low budget, ill always use manifold valves. Mucho better

Ite.

Just a quick plumbing question. For just the rear, I'll need 4 valves, and 2 check valves? And if I were to run 2 compressors; I'd need to go ahead and get a 9 port 5 gallon tank? Or just a simple 5 gallon tank and add another tank if I ever do the front? Or is it just preference?
