07 Tahoe went crazy today. While I have my truck torn apart, the car alarm for the tahoe went off. I went inside, grabbed the key fob but it didn't work. Walk outside and start it up and the alarm goes off. Shut the car off and the key FoB still isn't working. Then I start the car up and notice that I have a few service lights on

  • Service 4wd
  • Service tpms
  • Hood open

So I disconnect the battery and let it sit for an hour. Reconnect and all the same problems. Go to drive it and notice some other systems not working

  • Power windows
  • Power locks
  • Blinkers
  • Rear view camera
  • Ear air

Also during this time the radio will not shut off. The radio had all my presets loaded so my guess is that the computer did not reset.

Any ideas before I take it to the theaven dealers on Tuesday?

Had a suburban go nuts the other day. Abs stabilitrac and guages jumping. Tech 2 showed no codes under powertrain body or chassis so I undone negative cable an placed on positive terminal for 10 seconds to put the ecm into sleep mode.

So your suburban is sleeping, or it reset the computer?

Hmm further investigation seams like BCM is a possibility.

Anyone happen to pull a part number for it? I'm getting all sort of crazy ones of Internet searches.

Edit: 25835966

Does a dealer have to program a BCM?

Edit: looks like the answer is yes as the BCM is programmed to your vin/vehicle options

If you are local to north Louisiana I could possibly help with that. I have an mdi box and a laptop. I reprogram a lot at work. I work for a chevy dealership.

Shop said its the BCM. They said something about putting an inline fuse to it, which, is what I thought the bloody fuse panel was for  going to be around $900 after she's all said and done. I guess everyone has to make money :yarly:
