Dome light question

Anyone know a way to find out which terminal is + and which is - on the dome light in the crew cabs? I'm trying to use all three festoon bulbs as the dome light and do away with the two buttons. This is what I have.

This is what I'm thinking of doing.

Fixed the last pic, there is no board. That's the issue lol, looks like it's all inside the plastic "housing".

Hmm, I'd honestly just use a test light, as ghetto as it sounds. They still have some uses, for stupid stuff like that.

Use a multimeter, it will tell you which is positive and negative. I always keep one in the truck

I usually use one, but this is so simple that a test light would work just fine too.

Just put a single COB with festoon adapter. What I did.

All that I've found are too blue, looking for warm white led.

Search COB LED on ebay. All diff sizes. Mine were 5-6k. Pure white-ish imo. I don't like blue

So, finally got to finish this up and it works perfectly. epper:

Now just need to order some warm white bulbs to match the front map lights.

I havent figured out how to get them to work with the buttons on the light yet. It only works from the switch on the dash or when you open the door.

ah ok when you figure that out let me know plz. i still want people to have separate light in the back.

i have thought about doing LED's in the door handles(like dodge ram) and in the door storage compartment. but i would want these to be on while driving, but i am not sure how to wire that.

Will probably have to wire a resistor or something because when I press one of the buttons on the light it blows the fuse.
