Can you run full exhaust with a 4/6 or 2/4 drop nbs. Opinion on 4/6 vs 2/4

I havent lowered the truck yet, but I have the rst roll pan with the square tips on my truck and dont really want to loose the exhaust. Will the axle destroy it on a 4/6 drop? As of right now I have a set of dbrods coilovers, and a belltech notch ordered. Still cant decide if I wanna go 2/4 with a 265/50/20 or 4/6 with a 275/45/20. Im about to order tires and cant decide on which drop to do.
 
i run 3" single exh tucked WAY up over the axle and I still hit it from time to time if im aired out. You can run it, but has to be custom bent/tucked up higher
 
Good luck getting a 2" drop out of those coilovers. With spindles I got right at 6", I have lifted it a couple times, and I am about 3/4 of the way up, and still at around 5". I may get 4" if I max them out for some reason. I say go 4/6 and be done, you won't enjoy 2/4 for very long. Even 3/5-6 looks good!
 
Trust us all. Go ahead with a flip kit. Been there done that. I run LTS thru pacesetter y, bullet, magnaflow, and stainless 3" magnaflow replacement tailpipe for an hd. I'm at 6" and never hit my exhaust

So you think if you go up to the max adjustment that it would be at 4" total or just 2" with the coilovers. I got the 275/45. I was wondering what the max highest adjustment on it was. John told me that the least he thinks it would be is 1.75". I definitely dont wanna be any lower than 4" up front, I think im gonna skip off on the spindles and just set the coilovers anywhere from 2.5 to 3" and go 5" out back
 
I am lower than 4", that is for sure, and I still have room to go up, but I doubt I will get another 1.5" personally. It is possible, but I have my concerns. I haven't went back and fucked with it, also, going all the way up or down on a coilover is never recommended because it maxes it out.

Just running coilovers over spindles CAN max out your ball joints too. Just so you are aware. 2" shouldn't be an issue, 3" may start to give you steep angles.

If you run the longer shock length and coil springs there may be a better possibility for height changes. What length shock and spring are you buying?

2/4 is more work in my opinion. You'll like it, but most likely be wishing you were lower.

I have true dual exhaust on a 5/8 drop. When I got the drop the exhaust was between the axle and bed making it a terrible ride. I just had the one pipe in the way rerouted around the axle and no over. No problems now.
 
A friend of mine use a 5" exhaust pipes he flatened to around 2" (like a LS1 camaro driver side y pipe) over the axle section reduced it to match his 3" pipe no problems or loss of performance never hits ant thing i think hes 5/7 if i remember right?
