unless your wearing welders gloves, my mechanix wear dont block heat from a freshly shut off engine. still gonna burn your arms. as far as the principle goes, yea, heat it up somehow. just dont test if its hot or not with your mouth.....

What have you guys been using for gaskets and bolts? Just stock replacement stuff? Not sure I want to reuse the bolts, even if I manage to not break any
