Sup guys, this morning I hit a pothole and turns out I blew my front pass tire out...on the outside doesn't appear to be any wheel damage(not bent or scuffed at all), is it possible to have damaged the wheel internally?. Looked like the bead flipped out but not quite fully but still wouldn't hold air. I have a nbs RCSB dropped 5/6 and just put on 22" tbss replicas 22x9 +22. Tires are 265/35/22 so I'm wondering if I should step up to a 265/40/22 and raise the front ~1" but I'm concerned about tire fitment with such a small offset and tall tire(my front fenders are mini tubbed). Or should I stick with the 265/35/22's and be more careful driving? This is my first time running rubber bands, so I guess I'm used to just rolling over whatever's. another thing is a local tire installer said 265/35/22's load index is significantly lower than what a Silverado is rated for and that could be a reason why the tire gave.

Here's the culprit, admittedly I wasn't really paying attention

That sucks. I run 265/40s at 3/6 my sierras unrolled lips at 3/6 w TBSS would tend to catch if turning and shock compresses. You probably just popped the bead. Time to bag, step up a tire size, and ship me front setup IMO. Haha. Post some current pics

Man I run over all kind of stuff and hit huge potholes to the point my frame slams and my falken ziex 265/35/22 haven't skipped a beat.

What brand tire are you running? I would hit all kinds of shit in my 265/35 kumho ecstas and they never popped

Tires are nexens which I haven't really heard of before. Gonna just change out the one tire for now with a Dunlop.

Here's a pic of where the tire leaks, like I said before on the outside doesn't appear to be damaged, but I wanted to know if its possible internally could be damaged.

I am going to be filing a claim with the state and I hear they have been paying out people but just takes a while

I've ran Nexen a couple times, I've always had good luck with them and I liked the performance

X2 on the Nexens being a decent tire. It is possible it damaged the sidewall of the tire.

This is all I could manage for now, too damn busy with work. The lighting is screwed every time I'm out by the truck. Not quite sure yet if I like black rims on a pewter truck. Seems ok for now cause handles/mirrors/bumpers are still unpainted. They rub much less than ltz's with 275/45/20s even though they are 9" wide and less offset at +22 I think.

I like it. Looks lower than 4 up front IMO. Get some of the plastidip stuff drop dipyourcar and do a gunmetal color on the wheels for fun.
