the l33 you have to run premium gas too IIRC because bumped up compression.

so not a common motor.

L33 and LQ9 both have 10:1 comp stock. I've run regular in it but it definitely prefers premium

That's what I was getting at.

My first LQ9 I ran regular (87) for a year. It blew up, but because of an oiling issue lol I've noticed that my truck idles smoother with premium, but that's about it.
