I know a few of y'all have cutouts, I'm gonna be redoing my exhaust here soon hopefully and putting an electric cutout in it. Which one do some of y'all like the best? Like as far as not leaking and everything.

I have a qtp sitting in the garage. The build quality seems really good and solid, connectors look good, not cheap. I'm probably gonna change the switch just for personal preference, but that's my only gripe I guess

Dougs electric cut out imfo. It slides open, not the regular butterfly opening that is very prominent to leaking

I agree with Chris i dnt really like the switch that it comes with. I swapped it out for a slim one and moumted it somewhere :secret:

i know im kinda late.

I have the raceready cutout and love it. Its a really nice piece, opens/close fast. Only complaint is the motor fell off of mine after a year of use everyday it was cycled open/close iv always constantly played with it. They do make a replacement top piece with the motor for 70 bucks which isnt bad IMO. Only 120 days of warranty though.
I have about 3-4 friends with QTP only trouble they have seen mainly is some minor rattling after repeated use from the actual butterfly against the body where it seals. Some motor failure but as said mainly rattle.
I have 1 friend who runs the summit brand cutout, it goes out just about every year but he claims they warranty it everytime which is why he stays with that brand. said they have a 2 year warranty on them but i see nothing supporting his claim of that.

I heard alot of great things about DMH, just hard to find them instock at times.

fwiw, I have read more negative comments over the QTP than any other, all over pt.net. Could be because they sell more? I don't know. DMH I rarely see anymore, same with badlandz, but never really read bad things about them that I can remember. There's another one, I can't for the life of me recall the name right now, but I will post later when it comes to me.

Agreed with QTP part. Iv read and seen first hand many of them fail but again it seems they are more popular than others which could be the reason why.

txmexieddie has had summit for years, never had a problem
I guess its kinda like QTP maybe, hit or miss. I know my friend daily drives his truck and they have been a headache.

eddie did forever, it just blew motor, but he's had them for 2 years or so, for the price, I could buy two of them with warranty over most others. Just food for thought. on the g8 page people complain about the QTP and DMH leaking, but there is some sort of seal you can buy additionally that should help...

Doug's slide open and covers shuts off the tailpipe portion so all exhaust is coming out the cutout.
I'd have a DMH if their customer service wasn't shit. My buddy has had 3 QTPs shit in 4 years.

not a single vid...am disappoint
