BB's full frame build

So I bodied james truck back last year utilizing the factory frame because it was already bagged. The rear suspension was very nicely done but the pinion angle wasn't right and the lift was extremely limited from poor bag placement. The front was also an ekstensive kit. So I made a decision to make him a deal because I had started developing the full frame for the tahoe. I told him i wanted to build him a full frame for his truck to have much better suspension and getting it set up for a v8 since his truck is a v6.

So I've begun the chassis build for it.

Tore the heads off 5.3 I picked up for the truck. With a good cleaning it should be a good engine. Also started mocking up the front suspension

Motor mounts and trans mount are in place for. Used my mock up arms which have bushing that are slightly narrower that the actual arms so had to add the spacer. The a/c line will be the closest contact point. This truck will be running full long tubes and a truck oil pan. The actual block is in place in the last pics

Is it easier in the long run to just build your own frame and suspension setup?

Also, how many hours does it take to knock out a frame that someone could conceivably order from you, and swap their running gear, body, and air setup over to?

For me, if someone is wanting a body drop, I can build a chassis that gets everything in a much better position faster and easier than by building a chassis. The time it takes to do everything that's necessary to body drop over a factory frame takes a lot of time and ultimately to do it well, you need to strip the existing chassis anyway.

I could complete a full chassis in 4 weeks start to finish, mostly because I do this after my day job. Once I have all the plasma cut pieces and tubing laying in front of me. I can have the complete main rails cut and tacked together in 1 day.

im just using it as a 3/16" spacer because the arms i'm using are my old arms and the bushings aren't the correct width for the arms that will be on the truck. my frames use cam bolts on the lower arms to adjust alignment.

Build update. Comon problem for anyone thats ever owned/built a body drop truck and tried running longtubes knows the driver header barely clears the floor with no modification but the passenger header hits the floor major because of the way the y pipes are designed for these trucks. So I decided to redo the passenger collector angle to make the headers match. I will be building a custom y pipe for the truck. Know the floor will actually be completely stock from the inside. Also began the rear bumper shaving.

Something that really intimidates a lot of people is wiring. This is by far the easiest way to do wire routing. Completely unloom the harness and separate every plug individually. Allows you to route every plug exactly how it needs to be. This truck will have a Snowden bench seat, which makes the placement of the pcm and relay box possible that wouldn't normally be.
