Don't know much about suspension but can bouncy lower balljoints really not allow you to get an alignment?
 
Do they move when you jack truck up and try to shake wheel and tire? Any clunking or popping?
Nothing like that. They feel pretty firm when jacking up and putting back down. I may take it to another alignment place and see if the original shop was just trying to rob my money and assume I'm an idiot and replace that shit when it's good anyways.
 
That's what I'd do, get a second opinion and go from there
Will do that before blowing cash on parts that don't need replacing. But if they do, ain't but 50 dollhairs to replace lower balljoints I think
 
Lol if the control arm moves but the rest of it doesn't then there's play. Usually you can hear it very quietly if you jack it off the ground and put a bar under the tire and lift up. But it's a very faint sound
