*99-07c 2WD Drop Parts and Recommendations*

The spring can only compress for what it is designed, so with your theory, you could remove shocks period and have helladrop.

The only way I can see that is if you were running too long of a shock to begin with, but technically you would not be getting more drop, just what you were supposed to in the beginning

Maybe he's thinking about adjustable struts? I've seen a lot of guys with nnbs' running adjustable struts up front

Been lookin for a djm flip kit and they all seem to come with the notches, but im doing my own underbed step... I hear alot about Tim being a good choice to go to.. Does he do the djm? Or can yall point me in the direction i need to head?? I want the djm for the pinion adjustment. I also need the carrier bearing bracket.

Great thread! Lots of info.

Anyone have pics of what the djm notch kit did to there frame? My dad is about to add this kit to his truck.

I hear what you guys are saying. But you can't tell someone that's anti internet that some guys on the internet said something didn't work correctly. So pics would be best.

I've got his djm kit and my mcg kit side by side. (uninstalled) Is there a way to explain why the djm kit caused this problem?

Member on here, cant remember his name.

yeah, tell him it's a shit design, with shit metal, that causes shit cracks...

tell him also, we gain nothing from telling him DJM sucks...none of us work for belltech, avs, or mcgaughy.

Also, just google "DJM notch issues" or "DJM notch crack" etc, be creative when searching

Thanks guys. Didn't mean for you to spoon feed me some info. I've been up in the notch thread. And i'll let him read what was just posted.

that's what we are here for, but don't limit yourself to just the site for info, there are many threads on other sites too, that will give you more credibility when you tell him not to use it

stay away from the monroe shocks that are for the Nissan/Toyota trucks, I blew my front one from the LCA, was sketchy as fuck. If you have a rcsb it may be ok, but my CC hated it, and the rear isn't that great. I will get the part numbers.
