Btw boosted_silverado said the paint will crack in the roll Pan at the welded seems if it's welded. Just giving yu a heads up m8

Word I was looking it up on duramax forum, this isn't my first ro-day-eyoh so I should be alright. Lots of penetration. Saw some guy got rear ended and his bed opened up but the roll pan didn't crack.

Haven't done anything yet because waiting for it to warm up.

roll pan went pretty easy. the previous owner hit something with the rear bumper so we had to do a bit of body work but it looks great now. rode around for a week with only primer like is pictured so i got to feel what it was like to own a dodge. then the following week blew about getting keyed/scratched. the stack was a bit fucky. fyi don't use an impact on the hole saw :lol: my lift pump was right by the exhaust so i move it around and added more fuel line. i'm going to take it off and slide some fuel line insulator over it for an added precaution. i put heat wrap around the the hole thing near the fuel line. also broke my tail gate clip when i was opening it in the paint booth :eek:kay: shave kit on the way but its on the back burner because i have the tailgate off.

i also lightly tinted my tails like suggested on here. shout out to Taylor (tenglish i believe) we were texting while i was doing it and i fucked up and he had some good ideas to fix it :shake:

i know I'm forgetting things so any questions ask dogs.

take my truck up this weekend and ill get it back next weekend with dat new trans :cheeky:


then painting frame/ traction bars and I'm fucking done for a bit lol.

looks good man, go take it to the track and run a 1/4 man.

will you be able to run any hotter tunes with the newer trans ?
 
bruh i went over my second tune like... 10 times tops haha. its so #overfueled in my hot tunes that it doesn't take too much to haze a bit from the stack when I'm accelerating. but more smoke = cooler egts = happy pistons
 
more updates..

got my trans built by Evan at Limitless Diesel in Massachusetts. dude is a stand up guy and would/will be doing business with him again. he put a suncoast 1058 converter in it and his own little clutch kit. shifts fucking amazingly. also got ppei tunes for the truck through Evan, need to data log and send it back but already its so much less smokey. first tune it puffs a bit wot but its all cleaned up after that. when the converter is locked up i can make it haze but nothing like it used to. all and all pleased with the tunes.

I leveled the tows, my oem tows werent oem and it was a pitta, also disappointing because i paid oem price. none the less...

Yeah. Look at your rake compared to mine when my leaf was pulled.

Lol I still might buy new hangers and that will level it out but I'm putting it to stock height for winter so if it's a pita I'm not.

been reading a lot on the DP Billet 68mm Stg2R... i want it but i also want not cracked pistons....
 
duramax tuner is coming out with a direct drop in stealth 67.7mm iirc would be a pretty sweet turbo to make around 650hp on. + its a easy turbo swap.
