I’ve got a buddy trying to get me to come out there and work with him. Not gonna lie, I’ve considered it. He’s right in the heart of hot rod country in SoCal

It is expensive, and it really is a pain in the ass. But tbh there's a reason its the 3rd largest economy in the world and has what, 30m+ residents?
We dont deal with harsh ass texas summers, nasty southern humidity, or insane northern winters. Yet We get a dose of all 4 seasons.

It also isnt Kansas flatland, Louisiana bayou or nephson Carolina.
Has clear water lakes, world class skiing, world famous coastline and golf courses, booming economy. 2hrs in either direction puts me in reno, lake tahoe, pebble beach, santa Barbara, san Francisco.
So on and so on.

Not gonna lie we deal with some crazy asinine shit. But there's a reason so many people are here.

You hit the nail on the head for at least part of why I would really struggle moving there. I already don’t like how crowded it is where I live now, plan on moving further toward the mtns. And we have what, a 3rd of your population here? Lol

You’d be surprised how it is here once you get outside the major cities.

Heres a good example for you.
Walked in to my dentist office for my 11 o'clock appointment. Hank Williams playing inside the office.
When he was working on me, he was singing along with alan jackson good time .

Hes cool as shit

Not everything in CA is orange county or san Francisco. Majority is rural hills or farmers. Ask fuso, hes a farmer

Haha that’s good to know. I’m not making any sudden changes, but I’ve had that offer thrown out there and there are some struggles at work right now, so it’s a possibility. I’m just cautious about whether the company will still be around in another 2-3 years.

I’ve just about recovered financially from the divorce and I have nothing tying me here anymore except my parents, so the next year or two would be the time to jump if I’m gonna try it.
