Excellent work! You've turned that truck around for the better. What kind of paint did you use on the frame? And the steps to prep it? Mine is similar looking in the before pics.

I used a satin off brand rustoleom on the chassis.

I basically used purple power and a pressure washer to get the big stuff off, then all purpose cleaner and some brushes to finish it. Then just put a couple coats of paint on it. It came surprising clean after just some elbow grease.

I really like your truck. I like the renegades on there, but the methods will look just as good.

Thanks, but I really hope they look better than the racelines did! :turborofl:

Truck looks good man. I ordered my 20x10 exiles from mrwheeldeal back in February. Still on backorder:mad:

Yeah im kinda kicking myself for not waiting them out, but I've always loved method standards and kept coming back to them as my number 1 pick!

Looks great. Those mtx's are some nice tires.

I lay those in the curing press at work :cheeky:

The fgts!! :five:

First I used a degreaser/wax remover on the clean paint, hit it with medium grit sand paper, touched up any bare metal with #8 acid etch primer (required), coat of prep-sol, scotchbrite pad, then one more good final wipe down with prep-sol.

Would it hurt to use the aerosol can of the etch primer?

Thanks man, lots of work and clean up just to get it back to the shape it should have been. Looking back I should have just avoided this truck like the plague but I'm this far in might as well finish it.

Good to know that my tires might have been blessed by Dakota! :wave2:

no tranfer case issues with the lift? i know it was always said that messing with the ride height would piss off the transfer case or some shit.

Nope, zero issues with the transfercase (related to the lift, the tc does need to be rebuilt though).

You're probably thinking of the 1/2 ton sierra denali and the awd system and quadrasteer.

This truck is 3/4 ton all the way throughout; 4l80e, 246 32 spline 4x4 transfercase, 9.25 aam front, and dana 60 rear. Nothing besides the quadrasteer system is comparable to the 1500 trucks.

So only issues I have would be the same as any 3/4 ton truck would have.

Truck looks amazing once again. Any clearance issues with the rear wheels and steering?

Thanks bruh! Nope, no issues. Once I finally get the truck cleaned up I'll take a few pics with the truck at full lock.
