I've got a 06 ext cab silver I want to go with a 3/5 on 275/45R22s but if I can get away with a 4/6 on same wheels and tires without rubbing or having problems going over speed bumps I would go with that. Any idea or pictures would help a lot.//cloud.tapatalk.com/s/57f8f101bb70e/IMG_20161005_170157.jpg?

275/45/22s are too big to get away with 4/6 Imo. You might be able to get by with a 3/5 but that is still a pretty big tire.

That's the thing I heard the will and wont. I guess what I'm trying to figure out the most is if I can get away with a 4/6 and 22s with no rubbing or scrapping the ground

You can do 4/6 on 22s without rubbing with the right tire size and offset. Scrapping the ground is really gonna depend on how the roads are in your area. It won't scrape a lot but I can't say it won't scrape on bad roads or steep driveways. 265/35/22 is commonly used size for nbs 4/6 drops.

    So I should probably just go with a 2/4 possible a 3/5 with 20s

I'd just go with a 3/5 and try the 275/45s on the 22s if you already have them or get some 285/35s. You won't be happy with 2/4 if you are thinking about 4/6 now. 3/5 is very daily driveable. Plenty of ground clearance.

I'm at 2" in the front waiting to do the 4" in the rear. I'm running 265/40/22. It's settled a little more since this. Also the drivers side is a little lower. [IMG]

Another thing to consider from what I have learned on here is at 3/5 or more you will want to notch and possibly add helpers. Maybe this is more on a cc than ext cab not sure.

Do you have any pictures of the whole truck?

Yeah I don't want to c notch it but I have only read of having to do that with a 4/6 or higher. Your truck looks good and some more pics when you get it finish up. What's the ground clearance in the front looking like?

That pic is top of tire to fender. Not sure why it turned sideways. Hope to get mine finished soon but time is hard to come by! Thanks for the compliments. Ask questions and search around here. You'll find lots of info. You'll get good answers and the occasional dick head response but overall pretty informative.

I don't think it looks as low in this pic as some but never replied after I finished!
