Lt headers, and a wide ban tune on my 4.8 do you guys think that will wake it up a little bit? Is there anything else I should do?

If you have the coin and an undesirable gear ratio, you could regear as well.

pretty much all bolt ons won't really be felt, unless you do pretty much all at once. My truck definitely benefited from cai, headers, exhaust, servo and tune. Servo only effects the trans shifts...my truck put a car length or so on a stock crew cab (yes, I know the truck isn't fast).

Headers- ~500 with y pipe if you are smart and shop around
tune- ~500, don't really need a dyno tune
cai- ~200 for airraid tube and dry filter (don't really need to ditch the stock box imo)
servo-~30
exhaust- just depends

So, for around $900 or so, you can have it all done. Finding a nice, clean 6.0 for that price will be hard, plus the time and money to get it installed, plus you will want to at least tune it and eventually do bolt ons too, you make that call.

Or just boost the 4.8 for a couple grand and be done.

500+500+200+30+ exhaust = $900?

unless you meant $900 install cost on all the parts ?

then your total would be 1250+900= $2150

are you fucking stupid? "~" that means sub, as in sub $500, as in, less than $500... For instance, my tune was $250, headers $350, airraid $140, exhaust $40, plus misc. shit

Also, my local guys, Sam Miller and James Karger are some of the top tuners around for LS motors, they have tuned some of the fastest cars around...and Pat G is semi local. They start off at $400 for a basic tune, but if you're just doing the basic stuff, any tuner will work, if you want to squeeze everything out of the truck, a very reputable tuner is a must imo.

Blackbear can take care of what you are looking for.

Also, I was using the $900ish as a base for a motor replacement as someone else tried suggesting. With full boltons, you will be close to a stock 6.0, not quite there, but decent. Could even toss in a small cam, like a "hot cam". But most won't find a good 6.0 in good condition for $900. Plus, we all know, he'll only want to mod it as well.
