pictures of yours? dont you kinda NEED round u bolts?

This is what I was thinking....and MCG shows their kit with round u-bolts included...Unless they changed their design. I can picture in my head how square u-bolts could work, but it would be a retarded design.

any tips on dealing with the torsion bars. this is my first truck with t-bars.

Rent/borrow a torsion bar tool if you can. MUCH safer than a 2 jaw puller (there is a divot in my concrete to prove it). Unbolt the stem on the front shocks before jacking the truck all the way up, believe it or not, they will top out before the suspension droops all the way. When you unload the bars, grab the end of the key and rock it back and forth to break it free of the bar, soak the ends in PB blaster, unless you live in a salty area it usually comes free easily, if not you can stick a socket in the hole on the back of the cross member and use a hammer to drive the bar forward. Ask any questions as you go along on here.

They must have changed their design, you can see the saddle on the perch I mentioned earlier. With that setup you could just leave out that saddle, and go to round u-bolts if you wanted using the same u-bolt plate.

I used that just to get by the day the 2 jaw puller bent the lips on the crossmember and shot off. I ordered the torsion bar tool, I'll never do it any other way now.

Seemed to me you would use square ubolts since the top plate is flat.. so itd sit flat against it..

They don't just sit flat on the perch, at least they shouldn't, that could potentially be dangerous. There should be a plate on top of the perch with the ends turned up to make a saddle.

Yea i wanted to go buy a tool but anybody that wouldve carried them was closed the day I did mine and auto zone had a ball joint press available, so i did it that way and it worked great
