Hello guys I have a 99 silverado that I got a hell of a deal on it has the 5.3 20" rims and it's been lowered.... Really low my problem is this... I wanted to know how much of a drop I have on this truck by explaining what I can see and what I have... I know I have aftermarket upper and lower control arms with aftermarket springs now I don't know how low it is but I can tell you the tires I'm running are 245/35ZR20 and I can't even stick my pinky between the fender and tire.... ( does not have aftermarket spindles)..... now for the rear..... It has a monster welded notch on it a flip kit with bell tech 2" drop shackles that I put on myself.. I rolled the bed fenders cause I saw it was cutting into my tires when I would go over bumps but I can stick 2 fingers loosely between the bed and tires I want to lower it more in the rear to tuck alittle of the rim but I also wanted to know about the pinion shims what would you guys recommend for more of a drop on my truck? thank you guys for the help

Welcome, post up some pics and it will be easier to help, also the easiest way to determine the amount of drop is fender to hub measurements stock on a nbs is 19.5" in the front and 21.5" in the rear, take a tape measure and go from the center if the centercap to the bottom of the fender

can you get measurements? fender to hub and fender to ground? Pics also...my guess would be 5" at least up front, if not 6"

Explain...... Little confused... I had a rebuilt transmission put in 7,000 miles ago I had replaced the drive shaft u-joints 1,000 miles ago it shakes really bad around 40 mph I also balanced my rims 600 miles ago but the tire tech never told me if they where bent or not and the only reason I am asking is because I do want to go lower and didn't want to throw to pinion angle off bad...

I think the lowest you can go(and have any driveability) on a nbs is 9" out back, peyton676's truck was 6/9 on 22s and it was stupid low, pinion angle can be fixed with adding the right shim just depends on how many degrees it is off

Well I'm wanting that Cali lean on the truck by lowering the back another 1" or so but I don't want to mess the driving function because this is my daily driver...

That's peyton676s truck at 6/9.5, you would have to ask him about the driveability but with a good helper setup I think you would be fine

And he is running 22's?!?? I'm running 20s and too scared to run 22s afraid of chewing the shit out of my tires and 97 point turns everywhere... Lol I gotta ask him what he has all done it looks nice as hell! I'm impressed... Honestly I am!
