Sundown E8V3 or Skar VD8?

I'm planning to run 2 8s under my back seat, front fire, side port.

For a mainly SQ setup that can get fairly loud and somewhat low, would you recommend Skar VD8 or Sundown E8V3?

The E8s will cost me $178 shipped for the pair and I can get new VD8s from a buddy for $140.

Ill be pushing either with a Sundown SAX1200D so power isn't an issue. The box will be built to recommended size after I choose subs.

Just to give a little update. I cancelled my pre-order on those pure subs and went with 2 Tantric LD8s. I went by their shop here in Gonzales and was able to look at all the parts and compare them to sa8 and e8s they have there and the difference is amazing. I can't wait to get them. They are build to order and the owner was waiting on some parts that should be in this week so I hope to have the subs real soon. He said he can build them in a day once he has all the parts.

I hadn't either but check out www.tantricsounds.com. They have very impressive subs and are working on developing some amps. I saw one of the amps in progress and it's pretty sweet. Ronal Murphy is the owner and he started in his garage.

They also hold a world record at Port wars. It's 179db at 35Hz iirc.

They are reasonable priced too. LD is their base model or "light duty" with 500 rms each and they are $115 a piece. They also make MD (already beefier and heavier than SA8, then HD, SHD, and then after that you can have them make whatever you want really.

Here's a request from somebody. A 10" basket and parts with a 8" cone. Is stupid loud and has excursion like no other:

Yea they've been around for a few years but aren't very well known. There subs are all built to order and damn good quality.
