Since adding the tent with the drawers and the spare my rear 2" springs havent been able to keep up. So i swapped them out this weekend with 3" "HD" long travel springs to help support the weight. It gained my height i lost back while keeping the same ride quality. Couldnt be happier.

Went out to Pismo Beach this past weekend with the guys i went through the Mojave with. Was a blast and we were out driving most the day Saturday and i completely forgot about taking pics so i only have pics on the beach and a few phone photos from camp. The morning photos you can almost feel the hangover.

Damn you and your easily accessible fun driving spots. Looks like a blast. How cold did it get down to at night there? Does the tent stay relatively warm?

it was 43* at the low, no wind at night this time so its was pretty damn nice. The tent stays nice and toasty. I also have a 0* sleeping bag but the canvas and tent keep it pretty cozy up there. I never got cold at night.

This weekend i made the right face cover to make it even on both sides. I rolled some Durabak, which is similar to a LineX like material. I chose "beige/sand" which ended up being a little lighter than i wanted but its not bad. Im very pleased with the quality of the product and the finish.

Too bad you couldn’t have built in a down firing enclosure for your sub into the storage system and covered both fenders. Make it totally flat back there

it wouldnt gain much space. my cooler fits on the left side i throw drinks and shit to the side of it. With the cooler there you cant really fit much over the wheel tubs.

I noticed while camping the cargo light does a good job lighting the cargo area but the drawers can be pretty dark when cooking and searching for things in the drawers.

Going to mount these on the cargo hatch on the inside so it’ll line up over the drawers. Wiring them to a push button on the rear pillar for easy access when the hatch is open. Should help out while cooking and negate the need for a headlamp.

Got the wiring all done yesterday. Decided to run the wiring through the hatch door away from the window track and through the OEM wiring grommet and cover into the headliner and down. I placed the switch on the driver side pillar for easy on/off. Im really happy with this install and happy with how bright the lights are when on.

I ended up cashing in some Karma Coupons apparently. I gave a guy i know my old Gibson exhaust when i changed over to the XR1 and Saturday he gave me his old full skid plate set up. This is a $700 value if i were to buy new :whoa:

I washed them down and resprayed the skids. The transmission skid i heated up with a torch and sledge'd it back to flat.

My OEM skids were trashed and torn up, this is a big upgrade for the underside.

My transmission skid was for a V6 not a V8 do they were a little short to the mounting points on the crossmember. With a little time on a Saturday I was able to make it work and am fully skid’d up for the mall.

Also clears the Y pipe crossover for the V8 and is at the same angle as the front skid. It utilized OEM side braces and mounts.
