Relocation of radio antenna???

I know the radio antenna shouldn't bother me but I hate it! I even went as far as a shorty antenna and I didn't like that either! So I unscrewed the factory antenna and made a little contraption that would bolt onto the antenna stud, then a wire would run up the door weather stripping and hopefully work... But it didn't! So I was wondering what could be done to relocate the antenna somewhere else? Or is it possible to wire the radio to the XM sharkfin on top of the truck?

I would really like to delete the antenna and wire up the sharkfin! I was just wondering if that is even possible? or if the sharkfin would even work for an antenna?

What have others seen or done to remove the bull whip from the front of the truck? I actually need the radio to work!

I don't have xm and I don't have onstar. Aftermarket Pioneer deck! Pandora & Spotify FTW

I appreciate any input
Thanks
J.

People have run it under the hood along the fender using the stock antenna and it works pretty well. Someone over on gmfs did it years ago and reported next to zero signal loss.

Same. Antenna running down fender, if I'm in big metropolitan areas (which I am rarely) I get everything. In town here though it can be touch and go.

That's fine though because I barely use my FM signal.

JSYK (didn't look at tukn8's write up) but the wiper cowl piece from an Escalade doesn't have a hole in it, and you can replace yours with that.

Ran mine inside the fender w/esky delete. Only lost AM and some weaker FM stations. But I'm also right across the river from Philadelphia.

But srs, who uses radio really

Those short ones are just an arm pit stabber anywhere you need to scrap your windshield. Mines down in the fender, with a wire run from it to a ground. Barely any lose with FM stations, no AM stations but theres nothing good on there anyway

Forgot I posted this question...

I tried a few different things and my signal faded really bad. So I guess I will stick with the short antenna until I can figure out something else.

Thanks for the replies!
