The Hero 4 black is the current top of the line model atleast in resolution it can shoot 4K @ 30 fps but the Hero 4 Silver has a LCD screen built in and can shoot 4K @ 15 fps.... I wanted the black because you can shoot 1080p @ 120 fps which means really slow and clear slow-mo....

Yea I read the details on Amazon but the battery drains quickly shooting 4K. If only I had my new cc in my hand I would've bought it

I'm not worried about that... going to order the Brunton All Day 2.0 and a couple extra batterys, maybe a gopro bacpac... going to have to get a couple 64gb cards also but it will be worth it. I'll probably order a couple things each month so when summer rolls around and we're back to taking a lot of trips and doing stuff I'll be ready to get some good video.

Make sure you get a fast enough memory card. I had an issue when I first got my hero 4 silver. Used a card I already had but it would stop recording about 30sec in on 1080p 60fps. Turns out the camera was trying to write to the card faster than the card would allow it to. Bought a newer faster card and haven't had any issues since.

Yeah that's one of the ones I was looking at just hard to swallow $50 ea. that's why I'm gonna buy them slowly lol... all the different accessories I need for our usual stuff is going to cost me a good bit also. A lot of driving, snowboarding, wakeboarding, jet ski, bicycling & to the beach / camping. Can't wait to make some X-rated 4K videos though and that will be free. Lmfao.

I'm hoping one of the tri pod I found of mom's will work for the GoPro it's a really nice one that I know she hasn't used in a while. She does a lot of DSLR photography for her business so she's got a bunch of old stuff just depends on if it will work or not.

That's the tri-pod, it can get eye level because the center pole is on a handle you turn and it also has two levels built in and you can tighten it to make everything easy to pan or hard. Pretty nice hope she won't miss it missing lol last time I remember her using it was when we graduated and that's been like 3 years now. Thing must be pretty old or made cheap because you can get them online for almost nothing.

It came in today but sadly it goes straight under the tree haha. I went ahead and ordered two Lexar 633x UHS-I/U3 64GB micro sd cards today since they were on sale for cyber monday. Only cost me $24.99 ea. so not a bad deal consider they retail for like 90ish but normally sell for $50 each but are supposedly the best for shooting 4K HD video.

I saw where GoPro dropped the price on the hero4 session to 199. It shoots 1080p at 30fps and 8mp camera. Is it worth getting at all?

Not worth it. Watch the comparison videos between regular gopro plus can't swap batteries when dead...

This is what the lady friend is ordering me for christmas to hold all the stuff I'm going to get. Tried to find the other pics of it but they wouldn't pull up and save. But anyway figured the extra two gopro spots would be good for the dive housing and blackout housing. Plus it has a ton of storage underneath for lots of mounts and different things.

Ordered the SRP BlurFix3+ 55mm Filter kit today so maybe it will be worth it.

Anyone have any remote control drones? I can't think of the manufacturer, but there's that one new "smart drone" that is really badass but don't want the $1k price tag!
