Does this have AFM and VVT?

AFM yes...i dont think these came with vvt...ill take the timing cover off soon and find out though....either way its getting deleted with my LM7 parts.

For those of u that arent too familiar with Gen4 5.3s...the LY5 makes almost the same power as a stock LQ4. With a cam, shaved 243s and my LTs...I should be way above the 400 crank hp. Stock is 315-320/335-340trq and LQ4 is 300-325/360-370trq. No need for a huge motor with a huge price tag (they go for 1500+ around here) when I can get similar power for way cheaper.

Someone get this stuff so I can go fast!

The ly5 is a 5.3, with nnbs intake/TB, 243/799 heads (same heads but some 243 have different valves) and the flat top pistons that are in a 4.8

It's the updated version for 07 and newer 5.3
Everything is done by the factory, instead of folks like me and Eddie doing 243s and intake, and people looking for flat top 4.8 pistons to swap. Hence why he has extra heads/intake to sell. And by keeping the 243s he had milled for his lm7, he will be bumping the compression, because flat top pistons vs dished in lm7

Ya dig?

But make no mistake, an lq4, or lq9 with heads and intake will make more power than that ly5. But at a premium price. Lq9 has flat top pistons as well

Flat top - 4.8 piston

Dished- basic lm7 5.3 piston
