NBS 99 07 interior thread
Do any of you have any suggestions on a fabric for my headliner/door panels?
I have the charcoal gray fabric in my '05 silvy and would really like a nice dark black/gray plaid fabric.
I like the plaid that VW uses Volkswagen Interlagos Plaid Fabric , but I do not want to use that fabric because I do not want to look anything like a volkswagen.
Anyone have any suggestions? Pictures? Fabric samples? Still just getting ideas on what i really want

I dont necessarily want suede. I just want plaid. IMO just black suede would look nice and clean but i want something with a pattern

but seriously, unless you have something to tie that plaid into with your interior, i wouldn't do it. looks ricey to me imho
I honestly do not see how it can be considered ricey.
So does everyone just do black suede?
What do other people do? I'd much prefer something more interesting than just a big piece of black fabric
I'm not knocking anyone's tastes, I would just like something more interesting
first thing i thought of was when these guys with tuner cars, they'd wrap their whole headliner and pillars with a designer fabric, i've seen a lot with burberry and just other things like that. thats why it seemed ricey to me. im all for making things different, but i'd personally do something different, like maybe do a dark gray suede, with leather, and have red contrast stitching. you get your red, and you get something that looks different.
Overhead needs paint. I'm just doing black leather. I have black suede inserts in seats and silver cross stitch.
I'm not knocking suede. I just wanted something that would be more interesting than just black
