My 94' Blazer blew up in June of 2011, and led me to finally get something more reliable. I wanted a CC but I knew that I would slam it ASAFP if I bought one, and ive been wanting to try out the stock-ish or lifted world for once. Found this 2007 Sierra Classic 2wd ECSB 5.3 locally with 108k on the dial, and it was super clean in and out - old man truck (as seen by the day one pics). The price was right, so I picked it up around the 4th of July. By far the nicest vehicle ive owned, every 2wd option except for leather and sunroof, and Im still loving it. Original plans were a to stick to a leveling kit on stockers, colormatched plastics, and some other minor mods...but i just cant seem to keep my hands off this thing. Its still essentially stock, but with a few things to make it more enjoyable to drive 350mi/wk.

Current Mod List: (as of 4/14)
-4.5in front lift by 3in Rough Country spindles and 1.5in Daystar spacers
-1.25in rear lift by OEM NNBS lift blocks and Rancho RS5000 shocks
-1.5in rear wheel spacers
-33in Cooper Zeon LTZ's on 20in Centerline Stingrays
-Cleared headlights/turns
-Alpine headunit, some colormatching, and minor accessories to the interior
-Calspeed LT headers with ORY
-22in Magnaflow di/do muffler with pipes exiting before bumper - stock size piping
-Comp Cams 212/218 114lsa low lift cam with LS6 springs
-243 heads with high octane tune
-Big 3 wiring upgrade
-Semi-built 4L60e with 2400 stall converter

The day i bought it:

Cleaned up and with the steps and bugshield removed:

Then it starts...
After 4in Springtech spindles (later sold when I got the RC), and rear lift blocks only. Looked ridiculous.

Then I got a set of these for cheap...neglected polished aluminum 20in Centerline Snipers

Made em look like this...

-Somewhere in here I bought Calspeed headers and a Corsa DB Black muffler and threw them on, not a good combo - 22in Magnaflow was then installed...muuuch better.

Then I re-did the front lift with 3in RC Spindles and 1.5in Daystar coil spacers, bought some 33in Cooper Zeon LTZ's, and put it all together to achieve the look it rocked for about 2 years:

Then I updated the wheels to 20" Stingrays, added a silverado bumper cap, and some 1.5" wheel spacers

Future Plans:

-Better shocks, rebuild front end
-Re-tint including front shield
-Drive it until its old.

Thats about it, its a work truck nowadays so I cant play with it too much anymore - but I have another project to tend to...

Thanks for all of the comments guys! I think it turned out pretty good for a DD as well - cant wait to get low again though.

Thanks! Yeah some time spent on those wheels made a world of difference in appearance...but if I ever buy polished wheels again im havin em clearcoated before I slap em on lol.

The fogs are just halogens, I had HIDs in lo/fogs but had awful luck with DDMs quality - and didnt want to deal with blinding people in a DD. The pics were taken at dusk so they appear pretty yellow.

Thanks bud :shake:, always loved yours as well! I thought about a billet emblem but after i cleared the headlights I decided i had way too much chrome up front - if i end up painting the grill its probably something I will try out.

Small update also:

Got a basic 87 tune today from Dirty 30 out near mesquite - very happy with it so far. He cleared some codes, deleted my rear 02s, compensated for the 33's, adjusted the fuel ratio for the few engine mods ive got, tinkered with the transmission shifting and torque management, and a few other things. Its a bit more responsive to the skinny pedal now, and more fun to drive; should get better mileage as well. Props to his work.

Also got this installed! DI/DO Magnaflow 22in dumped before axle, still getting used to the dump - but i LOVE the sound. Mates with the LT headers much better than the Corsa DB Black.

This reminds me i need to clean my spare

Like it so far! Very quiet at idle/cruising, a little bit of drone from the dump. Ill see if I can get used to it, and if not ill just try a dump behind the axle. Lemme know what yall think!
