2009 LY6 6.0 complete pullout for sale. Bought it from Tim Jordan's salvage yard in Crandall. Ran before being pulled. Exact mileage uknown...but who really plans to pull a motor and install without at least replacing gaskets?
I am in the Frisco area. No I won't deliver. I decided to sell my truck after buying a G8. No trades unless you have custom wheels that fit my car.
$2k or best REASONABLE offer.

Most of the time when you get a motor from an auction, salvage yard or even a motor supply place you won't get the mileage. Even if you do, you don't know it's legit.

I could easily make up a number but I like honesty.

A low mileage motor can easily be as fucked as one with high miles. Or the other way around. My plans were to pull heads, look things over and replace gaskets, plugs and anything else that may need it. It ran before being pulled. They didn't bother with mileage. Anyone interested is welcome to call the salvage yard and ask them any questions.

What's all needed in a motor swap? Like harnesses and such?

It has all harnesses. Only thing I do not have with the motor is the ECM. You would need a tune for sure.
Would it run on an already tuned 5.3 ecm? Like good enough to make it to my tuner?

I do not believe so. You would need to have it sent off first. Or have the tuner come to you. Also, you need to research the reluctor wheel on these things. I was going to change the wheel instead of running the Lingenfelter box.

Research LY6 swap info first...

if uve got a NNBS 5.3, its plug and play and u would be able to run it with a 5.2 tune but would benefit from a retune. If your 5.3 has VVT, itll work just fine too...otherwise it has to get tuned out and get a VVT delete kit.

if he has a NNBS, he has the right reluctor wheel setup...otherwise he needs the lingenfelter box

I am not in a rush, but I would like to sell it sooner than later, it is taking up room.

I never paid attention to what truck he has, but yeah his is a nnbs. I didn't think about that and his nnbs 5.3, but I don't think he as VVT so the tune would still need to happen.
