So my gf got an Audi A6 turbod little shit and with my radiator needing to be replaced I've just had the itch to add some performance toy motor ,

So I have pacesetter LT ceramic headers and CAI and 5.13 gearing with the 40s but I wanna start adding to it , was thinking of starting with an intake choice before going super far and doing a cam and all that interior motor stuff
So what are opinions on different intake setups and gains like ls6 or ls2 intake or what else do people do

Just barely starting to read about performance and I'm not even going to ask about a cam until I have better understanding of what they have to offer with torque vs hp and top vs bottom yada yada ,
Obviously the truck will never be fast on 40s and sad but it can definetly use more hp/torque

Also if you'd like to add anything you would do with my platform I'd love to hear it

I have the heads marked 317 which I believe is desirable with thier compression rates or whatever ,
At 160xxx+ miles my motor is very clean , very minimal sludge and grime anywhere lucked out on a highway mile driven truck so might as well start adding to it

just buy a cam, radiator will be out, go ahead and pull that front cover off and bam! Seems most guys run nnbs or tbss intake.

Radiator is sitting out that's what started this mess lol I just really don't know shit about cams and yet to even look at installation , would it be as simple as replacing just the cam ? Wouldn't I need other parts for it ?

And I do have a write up saved somewhere of the nnbs intake swap

- - - - - - - - - -auto merged double post- - - - - - - - - -

If I get a cam I want that bitch to have some lope , and lower lsa numbers are the higher lope and the higher lope is what needs springs replaced and yada yada correct ?

I just put a nnbs/tbss intake and TB on my lq9 and it made a noticeable difference across the powerband. Also have to buy a "x-link" so the TB will work.
Best thing you can do for performance is ditch the 40s lol

With your setup, any intake other than TBSS/NNBS intake will probably hurt performance or not be noticeable. I'd run a TBSS/NNBS intake with a 90mm tb, you'll need an x-link too.

Anybody in here know if the 5.3 and 6.0 radiators are the same ? If so can get a replacement for basically free and then possibly purchase said tbss intake and get said +200 rear wheel goat power

Checked part numbers and they were the same so ended up getting a low mileage oem rad given to me for a case of beer , guess we will see if it leaks lol so far so good and got some quality cleaning done in my engine bay.
Looks like I may have some extra cash for said tbss intake
