Important!: LED Tail light issues

Little back story, my uncle has a NNBS and had a tail light housing get smashed. Everything worked fine, just the housing was broken, so he wanted to switch to LED's, so he bought a set off of ebay.

Last night i went to put them in. these led tail lights came with a load box, which i assume is just the resistor of some sort. i did install it, since it was basically just connecting 2 wires on each light.

Here is where it started getting weird, these taillights came with a new harness. so i started out by replacing the broken passenger side, switched out the harness, hooked up the tail light, with the correct polarity, and i would have brake lights, and turn signals but no running light. so i take the factory harness, with the factory bulbs that worked before, and i get the same thing, no running lights, just brakes and turn signal.

i swap out the drivers side, trying to help me trouble shoot, and the same thing, with the LED's no running lights, and when i put the factory harness back on, no running lights.

All the fuses are good. and there was nothing out of the ordinary at the haness block in the back.

Any ideas?

Sometimes a fuse can still be blown even though it looks ok. Otherwise, good luck
