Do you have ratcheting closed end wrench? I can't remember if I needed to or if I got half way and realized I didn't need to, but the hanger that comes off the trans has a mile of thread and if i didn't have one that would have been a bitch.

But like I said I can't remember if I actually needed to take it off or what.. Something in that area is a bitch though haha

The down pipe / front pipe clamp has alot of thread, but maybe that one doesn't need to be completely loosened. I'll have to take a closer look at where it connects to the trans. Go figure I don't have the right size ratchet wrench, oh well just have to go and buy one.

It's one off the trans, but the more I think about it the more I think I took it off, then realized I didn't need to lol

If it's givin you all kinds of a hard time trying to get the piece right after the down pipe, you have to remove the trans exhaust hanger. If that's the case get a ratcheting closed end wrench and bring a lunch because they put a mile of thread on there.

If not then fuck everything I just said

The guy who tunes my truck is a duramax jesus so I've hung out with him a lot while he fixes other trucks to try and pick up shit. Like yes there's unscrew bolt ect ect but he's got some shit that you would only know if you have been doing it for a while up his sleeve that makes working on it take less time

Exhaust is installed. Please excuse the frame rust as that will be taken care of in the spring/summer when I take the bed off. Its 5" MBRP downpipe back, came with a straight through muffler and no delete pipe, so I just put the muffler on. I'm happy with how it sounds and how loud it is. Its also a little windy today lol, and the roads were dry enough to take it for a drive!

To be fair the muffler isn't really a muffler. Its just got dimples on the inside. 5" sounds beastmode

5" with my 68mm powermax will sound rekt m8. Dfw

What makes the 6.0 whistle is the exhaust turbine.
I bet if you put a 10 blade turbine in your dmax it will whistle like a motherfucker.
Stock dmax turbo is a gt37 garrett housing just like the upgraded turbo, I and others have for the 6.0

Sounds good. When I put my 4" MBRP on last Labor Day weekend, I wasn't impressed with the kit at all. Fit like shit. I was really impressed with the Magnaflow 5" kit that I just put on a week ago. Better fit and clamps.
