Been busy and haven't updated this, but the motor is in, and it works, in the process of heat cycling it and finishing the onboard air for reasons. :cheeky:

Had quite a bit of "figuring out" to do with the MAP sensor (used the new style one from the 2010 intake), PCV routing (catch can mounted on the Alt Bracket), throttle cable bracket (trimmed), Evap purge Solenoid (new one used with new style fitting to match nobs manifold) & especially the intake tube. We used the factory air box with drop in filter, 07-13 Airaid tube and some intake couplers from a local diesel parts house. We used the NNBS fuel rails with a C5 corvette fuel filter as the regulator to keep the return style system and factory lines but with the rails mounted opposite so there was room to mount it near the manifold, I then used a short length of 3/8 line and a few AN to fuel rail push-lock fittings to make a crossover ( braided line near the throttle body)

Looks good dude! Sounds great too. Is that the cam that came with the atk engine? Sounds healthy would probably lope a bit if you turned the idea down. Def need more info on those valve covers

Thanks guys, it is appreciated. My dad and I have about a month of nights and weekends in it. They are the Proform LS Valve covers, and the accompanying coil brackets from Proform, although we modified them a little used different hardware on them. They side on a track if you will, so I got some new bolts with Lock-nuts from Fastenal so they wouldn't have a tendency to shift. We ended up cutting part of the factory brackets to mount them easier. When you move them up you need to use the longer wires from an 8.1 truck I believe. I can find the part number if anyone wants it.

It is the cam that came in the ATK engine, that was idling at about 750, I need to readjust it using the idle bleed screw to lower the reading from the TPS a bit as I believe that was the reason for the code it threw last night. I'll mess around with it after dinner and see if I can coax a little more lope out of it.

For now that's the plan. I had it rebuilt maybe 35k ago? A local shop did it, corvette servo, HD sunshell and shift kit. I added the factory cooler and had a hydraulic line shop make some lines with the factory push-lock ends.

I see a train whistle, gonna need a lot of air to run that.

But engine looks good! I made mounts for my coils like that a year ago, makes it much easier to remove them or a valve cover when need be

Thanks bud, we ran 1/2" line from the tank (5 gal long off of a semi) and we used a PacBrake 3.5 cfm compressor. Seems to flow pretty well. My dad made a badass basket to hang the compressor, I got a mudflap and made two shields, one for each side, as the tank is on the passenger and the compressor is on the drivers side behind the cab on the frame.

As far as the coil mounts go, definitely worth it...I never liked how they were from the factory, now we can angle them or space them properly. Did you fab your own?

Hell yes! That tank and compressor setup looks great. And yes i made my own. Little idea of mine using angle iron. I may redo them later on a little nicer if i get a chance

I bought Katech's premade msd wires that they sell for their mounting system. Wires were a really good price when I got them too.
