When I feel like spending money on exterior items instead of cleaning up the interior or making it stop and go better.

I like!

gonna do tubular a-arms to ditch some weight and gain some rigidity?

Ever consider losing the chrome front and rear bumpers? Not sure if colormatch would look right, but just something other than chrome... maybe brushed or something? Or just dimple die the fuck out of them with some speed holes, lol.

See post #51............

As far as bumpers go.........I think Im going to wrap this car in the spring with silver. If I do, then the front and rear bumpers, and the window trim and possibly the headlight buckets will get black

Bought Speedhut GPS Speedo and Gauge set. Put them in the dash panel. Need to put in the switches, HVAC, and Vents then if it ever gets nice I'll actually put them in the car.

I also have the rear interior panels complete and ready to install. G8 GT rear seat is in. New carpet ready to put in. I had the rear panels done but the soft touch was seperating from the foam underneath so Im having them redone. Im also adding in an aluminum strip in the huge blank area above the arm rest. This is what they looked like--

Hope to have this all wrapped up this month.

Actually width wise they fit perfectly. The seat bottom corners even have little cutouts for the stock chevelle wheel tubs that matched exact. I needed to have 3" cut from the back cuz too tall. Wasnt a big deal though. I do also have new black seat belts.

Ive been attempting to get some work done but I keep coming across issues.

Tore out rear end -

Pic of dirty rear end, less brakes and lines. Notice the UCS bushings not really pressed in all the way. Actually only in half way.

Got some stuff assembled. New brake lines, calipers, paint, yada - oh, and also hammered the bushings all the way into place.

Then I started reassembling. I got 3 of the 4 control arms in place. The drivers side UCA wouldnt line up. I know the 10 bolt has more clearance than the 12 bolt around the housing where the bushings press in. I checked the clearance on the drivers side and see the UCS is hitting the housing. No big deal, I'll pull the UCA and grind off a bit for clearance. Then I saw it -

So I couldve had it welded up. But I decided that since the car is down 2" and I have almost 0 degree pinion angle that now was the time to buy adjustable UCAs. Theyre set to arrive Thursday from Spohn performance. Hopefully I can get this pig completed. Taking way too long to do a simple brake job.
