Ew. Tony says they have a wheel guy they use at work that charges $160 a wheel. Might go that route. They're only noticeable from like closer than 5 feet though so I'll probably just rock them for a good while

Damn, that's bad. Mine aren't that bad, I can live with it while I do other mods

That's not bad, might look into that as well. Wanna stay with the same color or similar but have to get some curb rash repaired as well

Haven’t done a whole lot on this since last spring, life got crazy last year with buying a house and moving, getting the girls taken care of with school and babysitting and both me and the wife changing jobs. But I finally was able to do a few thing that I’ve been saving up for and needing to do so I figure I’ll update my build thread.

First, I took off the roof rack just to change up the look. Still need to get some set screws or something more flush but I like it.

Second, I was about due for some tires and Tony made me an offer on his old wheels that I couldn’t refuse and also gave me my spike lugs back since he decided not to use them.

My brakes have been screaming here lately, the dealer I bought it from out new pads on and they only lasted 12k miles :ayfkm: Turns out they were the cheapest duralast ones you could get and he rotors had had pad after pad after pad on them. I only had about 1-2 mils left on the pads and the rotors had the deepest grooves I’ve ever seen on them.

My dad gets a hookup through a local NAPA because he dealt with them for years through the school system he worked for so I got him to order me everything for the 05+ pickup brakes.
2 NAPA fleet HD 13” rotors
2 NAPA premium stock rears
2 sets of their Adaptive One ceramic pads
2 rebuild 05+ truck calipers
1 T55 torx socket to get the stock front calipers off
$417 with the core charge

Also got some Russell braided lines from Tony for $0 since I gave him my new OEM lines when we lifted his truck.

And forgot some stuff so had to stop at Pep Boys by my house for the rest.
1 big fan of brake fluid
1 can of red high heat paint
1 tune of anti seize
2 cans of brake clean
$24

So the whole upgrade will be less than $400 after I get the core charge back. Not too shabby IMO

So far, it definitely stops better, I can feel the extra braking power. But after the initial grab, the pedal fades a bit and I have to put more leg in it. Gotta bleed the whole system again (I only had time to bleed the fronts). But overall I’m very happy

Only thing I would do is paint the rotor hats asap. They stick out like a sore thumb as soon as they rust over. Looks good though.

I plan on doing that soon, just didn’t have time. This was so unplanned, was trying to get it done in like 3 hrs, ended up taking 4.5 and we had dinner plans that night lol

This one shows how I really need to go down. These tires are actually slightly taller than what was on the 16s but the bigger wheel/shorter sidewalk make them look smaller

Oh but look what showed up today. Also have the new links for the rear sway bar. Just gotta find time to install and get an alignment

Thanks guys, I’m real happy with it. Hoping to get the spindles on this weekend and get it aligned.

Update on the brakes, my dad came over the other night to help me bleed and man, these things stop awesome. Plus I adjusted my parking brakes and they work now too. It’s so nice to have confidence in my brakes now

IMFO. It's got like a 50 round barrel and it's a pump like a shotgun. Most potent gun in the office, we're all packing heat lol

You can slam fire it right? I think I have the same one in my parent's attic.
