Yea so...... I need a little help here, my double din wont turn on, I wired everything up and when I turn the key just the red light on the DD turns on and blinks slowly.

I hooked all the wires up to the same colors, I put the black grounds together as well, not sure if thats the issue, maybe it has to be grounded seperatly, im not sure

Also it came with the (PRK SW) wire, I didnt hook that up at all

Any helo would be greatly appreciated

I vote take it out, hook up positive and negative wire to battery, if it doesn't come on, take it back. I would assume you're getting some type of power if the indicator light is on. Could be wrong though.

Also there is a red wire (ignition switch 12v) and a yellow (battery 12v) any way that they need to be both hooked together

is there a "reset" button on the headunit? if so, turn the truck to where the headunit would get power and press and hold the reset button a time or two. then turn truck off and then see if that fixes the problem.

my buddy had a 25th anniversary kenwood, that just decided to stop working one day. i hit the reset button and that fixed the problem

You shouldn't need anything more than what you have. It sounds like the ignition wire for the stereo isn't getting power. Try hooking that straight to the battery like you did with the constant power wire. Make sure that powers the unit on. As long as that works we just have to find your ignition trigger that was wired to the stock stereo.

did you connect EVERY wire on the harness? bc you dont need to. there are usually 2 or 3 that do not get connected if you dont have certain features and if you do connect them, can cause problems.

so if you hook up the power, ground and remote, just by them selves, it doesnt turn on at all?

You don't do the remote, he needs to hook up the trigger wire.

12v constant
12v ignition (trigger)
Ground.

i think alec is referring to the switched 12v as "remote" and not the blue amp remote wire.

but yeah...u need constant, switched and ground.
