headers and cold air intake ?

another noob question here like always.
so im going to be getting a custom tune in January on my 06 sierra
i was thinking about adding long tube headers and a cold air intake.
is it really worth geting the cai or nahh and if so does it really matter which one i get
thanks in advance

BlackBear did a dyno comparison of multiple CAI's. What they found was the AirRaid Modular Intake Tube paired with a K7N drop in filter netted the best gains out of everything. The best part about that is it is the cheapest route to go. That's my personal setup. I see no need to replace the stock airbox unless you're making some serious power.

It can be helpful. The best way I can explain it is to someone who runs track. If your nose is stuffed up (stock intake) you can't breathe deeply. If your throat is full of flem (stock headers) you can't exhale well. If you can't do either of those your not going to be able to run at your best.

yeah i read on it a lot but always different reviews
so air aid is definitely better then k&n?
