TELESCOPING stock, or in other terms, 6 position stock...BOTH have them. The wife's gun is your basic style. The other is a Magpul UBR.

Since you obviously know about guns have you shot an AR with a spikes muzzle break? the one thats essentially on a SCAR from the factory? If not it is worth every penny, absolutely no muzzle rise.

I have the spikes on my Rock Rock river, if i am shooting you with that gun i dont care how loud it is. My bushmaster "ar-10" needs something though, its ugly to shoot at night.

Muzzle breaks are louder than flash suppressors, when shooting indoors without hearing protection, you will wish you had less decibels
