Since you obviously know about guns have you shot an AR with a spikes muzzle break? the one thats essentially on a SCAR from the factory? If not it is worth every penny, absolutely no muzzle rise.

Muzzle breaks aren't really my thing, they help with follow up shots, but are loud as fuck.

Look into the Smith Vortex or the MCD (I have) or the 5x4

I have the spikes on my Rock Rock river, if i am shooting you with that gun i dont care how loud it is. My bushmaster "ar-10" needs something though, its ugly to shoot at night.

Muzzle breaks are louder than flash suppressors, when shooting indoors without hearing protection, you will wish you had less decibels
